One way to save water is to plant flowers and shrubs that help to keep water in the soil. This is what we have done in the course of our project.
We also decided to install special watering system into our flower pots at school. Old plastic bottles with pinholes on top and cut-off bottoms were put into the soil (3-5 cm into the pot). Then the water was poured so that the plants can drink the amount of water they really need.
